Controller

Paketfest, owner Selma Kaya, Bahnhofstraße 41, 44623 Herne, Germany. Telephone +49 2323 947812, email hallo@paketfest.de. Given our size we have not appointed a data protection officer; enquiries go to the address above.

What happens when you simply read this site

Our hosting provider records the usual server log data: IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is necessary for delivering and securing the site and rests on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a site that works and is not attacked. Log entries are deleted after seven days. This data is not combined with any other source and is not used to identify you.

The date check and the price bar

Both run entirely in your browser. The booking calendar is a static table delivered with the page; checking a date sends no request to us or to anyone else, and we do not learn which dates you looked at. The guest count and add-ons you pick are stored only in your own browser, and only if you accepted storage in the cookie notice.

The booking form

When you send the form we receive the name, email address, telephone number, date, guest count, chosen hall, occasion and message you entered, plus the package and add-ons shown in the summary. We use them only to answer your enquiry and, if you book, to run your party. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries that lead to a contract and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, your consent, for the rest. Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are deleted after six months. Booking records are kept for ten years because German commercial and tax law requires it (§147 AO, §257 HGB).

Storage in your browser

We set no tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. If you accept in the cookie notice we store two entries in your browser's local storage: your consent decision, and the guest count and add-ons you selected. Both stay on your device, are never sent to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing site data in your browser. If you decline, nothing is stored and the site still works.

Google Maps

The map is not loaded until you press the button on it. If you do, your IP address and browser data are transmitted to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, and may be processed in the United States on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you can withdraw at any time by reloading the page without pressing the button. Google's own privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy

Hosting

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA, with delivery from European servers. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Vercel under Art. 28 GDPR, and transfers to the USA are covered by the EU standard contractual clauses.

Who else sees your data

The hall you book is told your name, the date and the guest count, because the hall contract runs in our name and they need it. A caterer or DJ you add is given only what they need to do their job. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to anyone for advertising.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). Where processing rests on consent you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. Write to hallo@paketfest.de and we will answer within a month. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — for us that is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2-4, 40213 Düsseldorf.

Changes

We update this policy when the site changes. The version in force is always the one published here.
